Hobert Mayes

Hobert Mayes, 74, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his residence in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Middlesboro, KY to the late Ed and Creasie (Heck) Mayes. He married Viola Mayes on January 25, 1965 and she survives. He worked for the City of Fort Wayne as a heavy equipment operator for 29 years, retiring in 1997. Hobert enjoyed wood working, gardening, being outside, and fishing. He did not know a stranger and had a great sense of humor. Above all he was a devoted husband and father.
