Gery Allen Rucker Jr.

The life of Gery Rucker Jr. started on the southeast side of Chicago, IL on August 27, 2002. Born to the loving parents of Nikia Tinker and Gery Rucker Sr., Gery and his family moved to Fort Wayne at the tender age of three where he later attended Forest Park Elementary, and upon graduation enrolled at Southside High School. After completing school, he began working with the elderly at Heritage Park. Unfortunately, Gery's life was short lived and at the age of 19 years old, he passed away on September 14, 2021. His family is DEEPLY SADDENED by his sudden and tragic death. Anyone who knew Gery knew his smile could light up a room. He had an immense passion for life and a deep love for his family and close friends. Gery will TRULY be missed more than words will ever say. His MEMORY and LEGACY will live on through his son, family and close friends FOREVER!!!! He leaves to cherish his son, Amauri Juarez; loving parents, Nikia Tinker and Gery Rucker Sr.; sister, LaNikki Tinker; brothers, Robert Rucker and Christian Tinker; grandparents, Frederick and Elizabeth Tinker; paternal grandmother, Maerene Triplett; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Rucker; great-grandmother, Mary Ervins and Carolyn B. Hill; and great-grandfather, Harrison Tinker.
