Donna "Donnie" Marie Hodson, 96, of Fishers, Indiana, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, following a brief illness. Donna was born on August 17, 1926, in Fort Wayne, and was the youngest of the late Thomas and Donna Heston. She was the wife of Clifford J. "Jay" Hodson, who died on April 3, 2014. Donna and Jay were married immediately after they graduated from high school. She worked at the Lincoln Life Insurance Company, the Kroger Home office, and General Electric while he served in the Army in Japan during World War II. She later worked at the Dana Corporation. After retiring, Donna and Jay enjoyed many happy years in Zephyrhills, Florida. Donna belonged to the New Haven United Methodist Church. Donna will be loving missed by her children, Dr. Cynthia Waddell, wife of the late Michael Waddell of Fishers, Barry Hodson of Cromwell, Indiana, Mark Hodson, husband of Pamela Hodson of Waukesha, Wisconsin; sister, Anna May Wasson of Elkhart, Indiana; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in passing by her sister, Irene Petre. Funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
