Dennis Jack Patterson

Dennis Jack Patterson, 72, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born May 31, 1952 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Jack and Jeanette (Gardner) Patterson. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After service Dennis moved to Fort Wayne where he worked for U.S Food Service and Statewide Trucking until retirement. Dennis was a member of the Roanoke American Legion Post 160. His love of fishing, hunting and caring for the many Blue Birds that made their home in his bird houses year after year, brought him great joy. Dennis enjoyed sharing the bounty of his vegetable garden with family and friends. He was an unfiltered man that spoke his mind and always remained good and true to his friends, from various walks of life. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Melanie (Hinton) Patterson, whom he married in 1990. He is also survived by his daughters, Janet (Don) Sutton and Kellee (Chris) Gangemi, 5 grandchildren, brother, Steven (Lyde) Patterson, sister-in-law Judy Ellis and brother-in-law Joseph Hinton.
