David retired after 30 years of service from International Harvester. He was also the owner and operator of Durnell’s Lawn Enforcement for over 30 years, was an active member of the Mizpah Shrine, and the Scottish Rite. He is survived by his sons, Danial (Amanda), Michael (Kelly), and Philip (Denise) Durnell; 11 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife of 59 years, Josephine A. “Jo” (D’Angelo) Durnell; granddaughter, Kendra Durnell.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March, 10, 2022 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
