Daniel E. Boyle

DANIEL EDWARD BOYLE, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born on February 26, 1933, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Patrick and Bertha Boyle. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea. He worked as a truck driver through the Teamsters Union for many years and also drove for G&L and later retired from Penske. Daniel was a member of American Legion Post 420 and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Boyle; sons, Daniel (Patti) Boyle and Benjamin (Penny) Boyle; daughters, Angie (Mark) Aspy, Sheryle (Dave) Braaten, Julie (Mark) Jarrell, Linda (Ken) Borland, Rita (Jim) Carithers, Mary (Neal) Minich and Melissa (Eric) Hehmann; sister, Jeannie (Wayne) Grabner; 38 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Boyle. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 U.S. 27, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Cemetery.
