Aristidis Stathopoulos

Aristidis “Art” Stathopoulos, 93, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Ashton Creek in Fort Wayne. Art was born March 17, 1931 in Greece to Yanni and Maria Stathopoulos. He married Julia Naselaris. Art was a quiet man who lived a simple life. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards with the guys and working in his vegetable garden where he grew Banana Peppers and Tomato’s. He would travel yearly to his home in Greece where he enjoyed seeing family. He was a member of the Greek Army during Korea, serving with the United Nations. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Julia; three sons, Steve Stathopoulos, John (Sevi) Stathopoulos, and Michael (Lisa) Stathopoulos and one granddaughter, Melina (James) Carrol. He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, George, Dimo, Paul and Thomas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, November 22, 2024 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 110 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825; Father Cosmin Sicoe will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Art’s name may be directed to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
