Sallie Jane Martin, 85, of Lowell, AR, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born on December 30, 1937 in Fort Smith to the late Jasper and Julia (Latta) Green. Sallie was the co-owner of Martin Janitorial Service and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lowell, AR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Martin Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Martin and his wife JoEllyn, of Liberty, South Carolina and Randy Martin and his wife Christiane, of Springdale, AR and a sister-in-law, Deanna Kay Martin of Fort Smith, along with four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, May 5, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Funeral Service will be 10:30am Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Lowell, AR. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Robert Martin, Randy Martin, Robert Waters, Ivan Pickett, David Lee Green and David Ray Green.
