Ronald B. Ellis

Ronald Ellis, 64, of Barling, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born April 29, 1956 in DeWitt, Arkansas to Frank Ellis and Doris (Brown) Ellis. Ronald was a Real Estate investor since the age of twenty-two and after he retired from selling insurance, he and his wife owned and operated Frontier Lodge at Lake Fort Smith in Mountainburg for 14 years. Ron also served on the Barling Planning Commission for thirty plus years.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Karen; one daughter, Beth Phillips and her husband Zach of Barling; one son, Brock Ellis of Barling; one brother, Robert Ellis of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Annabelle and Waverley Phillips; nephew, Trent Ellis; niece, Cortney Sisco and husband Mike, and their children, Amelia and Betsy.

Visitation will be Friday, April 23, 2021, from 5 – 7 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, at Barling Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
