Ray Clark, Jr., 85, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born on May 8, 1925 in Mountainview, Oklahoma, and was the son of Ray and Willie Clark of Duncan, Oklahoma. He was a Navy WWII Veteran. Ray spent his career in the oil and gas industry in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas as a salesman for Reed Tool Company. Ray also founded Rayco Tool Company in Fort Smith in 1977.
He was an avid fisherman , golfer, a former member of the Fianna Hills Men’s Golf Association, a former thoroughbred racehorse owner and a lifelong fan of OU football.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Edna, a brother Eulice, and sisters Eunice, Lavelle, Leta, Ann, and Ruth.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Allen Stuckwish officiating. Burial will be at The U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home; one son: Billy and his wife Lesley of Fort Smith; one daughter: Kaye and her husband Mike Ichniowski of Fort Smith; two step daughters: Sharen reeder of Fort Smith, and Susan Reeder of Texas; one step son: David and his wife Jenny Reeder of Singapore; ten grandchildren: Ty and his wife Devon Clark of Conway, Will Clark, John Clark, Matt and his wife Sara Ichniowski, Amy Ichniowski and Scott Ichniowski all of Fort Smith, Morgan, Xavier, and Lochlan Reeder of Singapore, and Allee Reeder of Fort Smith. and one great granddaughter Kadence of Fort Smith; and two sisters June Franks an her husband Louis of Oklahoma City and Sue Childress and her husband, Arnold of Louisville, Kentucky.
The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m at Edwards Funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren Matt Ichniowski, Scott Ichniowski, Amy Ichniowski, Ty Clark, Will Clark, and John Clark.
