Milton “Andy” Anderson, 90 of Barling, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in his home. He was born May 21, 1926 in Rowlett, TX to the late Coleman and Lillian Anderson. He owned a service station in Garland, TX. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Barling for 40 years and retired from Rheem Manufacturing after 20 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany. He loved his family, his ’56 Chevy, and his dog, Gizmo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Ann Anderson, two brothers and two sisters.
Milton is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna Mae Anderson of Barling, his daughter; Teresa Hutchins of Barling, his Grandchildren; Grant and Aerial Nicely of Barling, Heather and Brian Leonard of Oklahoma City Blake Vaughn and Jessica Hougen of California and Debbie and Shawn Firestine of Alma. His Great Grandchildren; Kiersten Nicely and James Bing of Mountainburg, Logan Nicely of Ft. Smith, Ainsley Leonard and Piper Leonard both of Oklahoma City, Emily Firestine and Aiden Firestine both of Alma, and his Great, Great Granddaughter, Brooklyn Bing of Mountainburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews
Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Fentress Mortuary.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Barling. Military honors and interment will follow at the Barling City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Brent Scott, Shawn Firestine, Logan Nicely, James Bing, Brian Leonard, and Aiden Firestine. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Bullington, Arnold Welch, Fred Price, Frankie Crossland, James Fields, Benny Morrow, and Charlie Jett.
