Mary "Betty" Wilkerson

Mary “Betty” Wilkerson, 93 of Surprise, Arizona, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away on January 27, 2021. She was born on February 25, 1927 in Fort Smith to Hubert and Theresa Bass. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church and prior to that had attended Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of the Women’s Garden Club; and with her husband Troy, both were members of the Jolly Traveler’s Club. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Wilkerson and a daughter, Peggy Sharon Becquart.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the pavilion of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Fitzpatrick and her husband John, of Litchfield Park, Arizona. She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Public viewing will be from Noon to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
