Louise Leamons, 92, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was born January 22, 1926, in Paris, Arkansas, to Ray and Emme Riley Gattis. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, always welcoming new members into the family with grace and generosity. Through the years, she was employed by Weldon, Williams and Lick, Johnson-Sayers, Skinner and Riggs photography studios. She also worked at Greggs and Fashion Accessories. She was preceeded in death by her first husband, Charles Green; and husband, Spence A. Leamons.
Louise was a member of First Methodist Church in Fort Smith, for over sixty years, and also attended Victory Church of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Louise is survived by two daughters, Charlotte White and Pam Brooks, both of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Jess Shaffer (Jessica), and Adam Shaffer; four step-grandchildren, Shawn Shaffer (Nicole), Dawn France (Buck), Anthony Brooks and Daniel Brooks; daughter-in-law, Christine Shaffer; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as four great great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2018 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 22, 2018, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Peachtree Hospice and Home Instead for their loving care.
