Linda Louise Huggins Reed, 68 of Fort Smith was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas with her friends and family by her side. She was born January 28, 1949 in Fort Smith to the late Seldon and LaVerne Huggins. She was employed by the Fort Smith Regional Airport, and previously was an Administrator at Sparks Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Mosby.
In her life, she found immense joy spending time with family and friends; her grandchildren were a true “Joy in her Heart.” A woman of faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love she passed on knowing the beauty and peace awaiting her. With a big heart for all people, she embarked on several trips sharing her faith and love of Jesus with others in India, Guatemala, and Hawaii. Linda’s one passion in life was to serve and worship Jesus in whatever way he called her, whether that be with her family and friends or abroad.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City.
Linda is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Ferguson and her husband Danny of Mountain Home, AR, her son John Paul Reed and his wife Cindy of Fort Smith; five grandchildren; Caleb Ferguson, Caitlyn Ferguson, Katie Holland, Jordan Holland, and Allie Reed. She is also survived by her dear friends Jan and John Weir, Kathy and Mark Laflamme and nieces; Tammy Thies, and Teresa Johnson and nephew Jeff Mosby.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Reed, Steve Davidson, Larry David, Chris Brown, Marshall Fender, and Ryan Jaggers.
Visitation will be 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary.
