He absolutely loved fishing and sharing his latest fish tales. Larry was a member of the Shooting Stars wheelchair basketball team.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Robert Lee Thompson, Barbara and Michael Vickers and a brother Robert Leon Thompson.
He is survived by his two daughters, Heather Wake and her husband, Cameron, of Houston, TX; Brianna Roberts and her husband, Dylan, of Moore OK and one son, Jordan Thompson, of Fort Smith, AR; five grandsons, Kaiden Wake, Braxton Wake, Sterling Parvin, Kreed Roberts and Keelin Roberts; one granddaughter, Rainy Parvin; one brother James Thompson and his wife Crissy, of Greenwood, AR; two sisters, Tabitha Thompson, of Nashville, TN; Julie Melo and her husband Gilson, of Orlando, FL; 4 nephews and 5 nieces.
