Judy Beard

Judy Beard, 60, of Fort Smith passed away December 9, 2014. She was born February 24, 1954 in Athens, TX to Bennie Warren Roberts and Mattie Virginia (Lovett) Roberts. Judy was a member of Community Bible Church where she helped with guest services. She was also active with the Women’s Golf Group at Deer Trails Golf Course, and she was a member of the Western Arkansas Hog (Harley) Association. She was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Roberts. Judy is survived by her husband, Roger; three daughters, Nicole Shaffer and her husband Shawn, of Lavaca, AR, Jessica Vest and her husband Cory, of Branch, AR, and Janna Erp and her husband Tommy, of Lavaca, AR; one son, Jordan Blodgett of Maumelle, AR; her mother, Virginia Roberts of Booneville, AR; two sisters, Monta Scharbor and her husband David, of Magazine, AR, and LaDonna Brahler of Booneville, AR; one brother, John D. Roberts and his wife Marilyn, of Magazine, AR; and 6 grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, December 12, 2014 at Community Bible Church, 9201 Dallas Street, Fort Smith, AR 72903 under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be: Jordan Blodgett, David Scharbor, Forrest Roberts, Scott Hunter, Brian O’Hare, and David Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Warren Johnson and E.O. “June” Roberts. Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
