John Charles Pearson, age 53, of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Chapel Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 6, 1969, in Russellville to Charles Henry and Margaret Freeman Pearson.
He was a 1988 Russellville High School graduate and continued his education at Arkansas Tech University and graduated from University of Central Arkansas with a Master’s in physical therapy. He was employed by Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith where he was a Physical Therapist with a specialty in orthopedics.
John loved his family, music and sports, especially the Razorbacks, the Dallas Cowboys, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs, just to name a few.
He was brilliant in many aspects of life, especially when it came to board games, no one in the family wanted to compete with him.
John was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Independence, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Angie Pearson; two children, Katheryn Olivia and Emily Grace Pearson of Fort Smith; his mother; a sister and brother-in-law, Drs. Anne and Jeff Snider of Russellville; two nephews, Jack and Adam Snider; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2023, at Lake Dardanelle State Park- Visitors Center, 2428 Marina Road, Russellville, Arkansas 72802 with Rus Pearson officiating. Burial will be private. Fort Smith arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home and local services and arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the Visitors Center.
