Jimmie Lou Anderson Sagely lived this life from April 14, 1934 to December 8, 2024. Born in Foreman, Arkansas to the loving family of James Nathaniel Anderson and Hallie Patton Anderson, sister Edna Louis Layne, and brother George Langford Layne. Jimmie’s sister once asked if Jimmie Lou was spoiled and her response was, “We don’t know, we have never put her down”.
On April 11, 1954, she passed into the arms of her husband, Floyd Eugene Sagely, whom she loved for over 70 years. She was blessed with two beautiful (inside and out) children, Cynthia Anne Sagely and Floyd Eugene Sagely, Jr. Floyd, Jr., and Dara presented Jimmie Lou and Floyd, Sr. with two remarkable grandsons, Weston Floyd Sagely and Colton Anderson Sagely. She read where grandchildren were the “whip cream of old age”, and they certainly were for her.
From the family she was born into, to the family she wed into, she was surrounded with faith of God and each other, and with love and laughter. To those whom she shared a hug or a smile, she would say “bless you for being part of my journey”.
Now she passes into the arms of our Heavenly Father and those that proceeded her in death, was she spoiled, “we don’t know, she was never put down”.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Edwards Funeral Home located at 201 N. 12th Street Fort Smith, AR at 1:00 P.M. with a family visitation prior to the service from 12:00 P.
