Jack E. Schwartz, 87, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born December 22, 1936 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Joseph and Angela (Kramer) Schwartz. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a 1954 graduate of St. Anne’s Academy and a long-time member of the Fort Smith Antique Car Club.
Visitation will be at 6 PM followed by a Rosary at 7 PM Monday, January 29, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM Tuesday January 30, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Jack Sidler officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Final interment will be at Christ The King Catholic Church Columbarium at a later date.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jerry I. (Geheb) Schwartz; three brothers, Robert (Bob) Schwartz, Richard (Dick) Schwartz and Joseph (Joe) Schwartz; one stepson, Matthew Walbe and one niece, Stacey Schwartz.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Rosetta C. (Walbe) Schwartz; two sons, Doug Schwartz and wife Anna; Larry Schwartz and wife Missy; one daughter, Kim Schwartz and fiance Barry Presson; his siblings, Fred Schwartz, Kitty Hug, Mary Beth Meek; five grandchildren; Alan (Jennifer) Schwartz, Michael (Lisa) Schwartz, Michelle (Miguel) Valdez, Jesse Schwartz and Jacob (Erin) Schwartz and 9 great grandchildren; Vincent Valdez, Landon Schwartz, Mikey Valdez, Bentley Schwartz, Evelyn Valdez, Collin Schwartz, Camden Schwartz, JohnPaul Schwartz and Angelica Schwartz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Donald Schwartz (Godchild), Mike Schwartz, Frank Hug, Jr., David Meek (Godchild), Gary Hunt and Ed Vann.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Hatwig, Gus Mnich, Will Schmitz, Buddy Barnard, his Godchildren: Cyndi Hug, Debbie Burger, James Schwartz, Jimmy Barnard, Linda Stilley, Naomi Jean Strojek, Ronald Schwartz and Teresa McMains, along with his stepchildren: Judy Marrin, Curtis Walbe, Vince Walbe, Steve Walbe, Joanie Testa and Janet Newman.
