Everett "Kit" C. Moulton III

Everett Crockett “Kit” Moulton, III, age 76, of Fort Smith, Arkansas went to be with his savior, on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born in Boston, MA. He grew up and lived most of his life in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was in the first class to have attended Southside High School (from Sophomore to Senior) and graduate. He was lucky enough to have matriculated at The American School in Switzerland for a year. He returned home to complete his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and continue his training in ophthalmology at the University of Kansas in Kansas City. He was then the 4th generation ophthalmologist in the family, at what would become Moulton Eye Clinic.

In his spare time, he enjoyed his Bible studies, being at Lake Ouachita with family, playing with his 2 grandsons, and traveling. He loved to spend time in Aspen, CO, snow skiing, as well as any tropical destination vacations. His most treasured trip was with his three girls to Paris, France, over New Year’s Eve 2011. He was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church as well as recently attending Community Bible Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Everett C. Moulton, Jr and Bettye Tripplehorn Moulton, and his twin brother, David Crockett Moulton. He is survived by his three daughters, Dr. Allyson W. Moulton, of Fort Smith, AR, Juliette Moulton Rogers (Drew) of Fayetteville, AR, and Mackenzie Moulton (Isaiah Easterling), of Fort Smith. His grandsons, William “Parker” Rogers (3 years), of Fayetteville, and Henry Monroe Easterling (7 months), of Fort Smith; sister BettyLynn Moulton Gancher of Maui, HI; brother James “Jimbo” Robert Moulton, of Denver, CO: nieces Sarah Moulton Gancher (Rick Stinson) of Brooklyn, NY: Elizabeth “Bip” Gancher (Derek Nieman) of Vallejo, CA; Margot Moulton of Fayetteville; great nephews Isaac Stinson (10) of Brooklyn, NY and Alexander “Alex” Scott Moulton (26) of Fayetteville; and many other significant family and friends.

A visitation for Kit will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. A private committal service will occur at Forest Park Cemetery, 5001 Midland Boulevard, Fort Smith, AR 72904.
