Zerella Donita Ambrose, 83, of Broken Arrow, OK, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. She was born on June 16, 1939 in Sallisaw, OK to the late Ivan and Marcille (Escrue) Cope. Donita as she was known to family and friends, was a 1957 graduate of Fort Smith High School. She was an executive secretary for Warren Petroleum Corporation in Tulsa and retired after 25 years. In addition to her parents, Donita is preceded in death by her husband, John Ambrose.
Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Calvary Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by a niece, Cindi Davis of New Mexico, a cousin, Deborah Benton of Little Rock and her good friend, Barbara Coughlin of Broken Arrow, OK.
