Coy Ben Calicott

Coy Ben Calicott, 93, of Fort Smith, died Thursday, February 13, 2014, in Fort Smith. He was born October 2, 1920 in Richman, AR to the late Louis E. and Nettie Lee Mabry Calicott. He was a retired Supervisor from Dixie Cup after 38 years of service, a member of First Lutheran Church, a Navy Veteran of World War II, a life member of the DAV and an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Peggy Geraldine Ernst Calicott.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Allen Stuckwisch officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by a son Mickey Calicott and wife Joyce of Fort Smith, sister Lucy Carlile of Leon, OK, sister-in-law Peggy Calicott of Boyd, TX, two brothers Virgil E. Calicott of Fort Worth, TX and Travis Calicott and wife Veda of Bluffton, TX, three grandchildren Michele Christman and husband John of Red Bud, IL, John Calicott and wife Charla of Fort Smith and Joseph Calicott of Oronogo, MO, three great grandchildren Micah Christman, Rachel and Ben Calicott, and a nephew Gary O’Hearn and wife Kaye of Olive Branch, MS.

Pallbearers will be John Calicott, Joseph Calicott, John Christman, Pete Charlton, Randy Coleman and Nick Chastain. Honorary pallbearers will be Lou Fellwock, Ray Ussery and Don Krietemeyer.

The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
