Clyde Adair

Born on December 31, 1935, in Hickman, AR, he was the son of Seaman and Nona Smith Adair and proudly served as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired from AT&T after 37 years of dedicated service.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Seaman and Nona Adair; his brothers JT, Otto, Jean, James, and Donald Ray Adair; his sister Marie Singer; granddaughter Amilie Harris; and his brother-in-law Harlan Shackleford.

He leaves behind a loving legacy, including his cherished wife, Brenda Claghorn Adair; his sisters, Ruby Shackleford and Betty Shackleford and husband Harold Gene; his children, Clyde J. Adair and wife Brandi, and Sarah Gill and husband Tim; his stepsons, Jimmy and Lee Harris; as well as 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
