Charlene Dean, 76, of Fort Smith passed from this life on Sunday, June 4th 2017 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 11, 1940 to the late Charles and Lorene Yutterman. She retired from City National Bank (now Bancorp South) and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, John Paul Dean; her daughter, Laura Lee Moorman Ford and her husband Eric Ford of Tulsa; her son, Jason Moorman and his wife Deborah of Fort Smith; two granddaughters; Miranda Adamson and her husband Ethan of Fort Smith and Lauren Ford of Tulsa and many cousins and friends.
She grew up in Fort Smith where she attended St. Boniface Elementary and Junior High schools and St. Anne’s Academy High School. She attended St. Benedict College in Tulsa.
She was passionate about her faith and her family. She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and shrubs, and received a Garden of the Month Award. She enjoyed playing bridge with all her friends, traveling and taking care of her rental houses. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
There will be a visitation at 4:30 PM with the Rosary to follow at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. The funeral will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial following at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kruger Donelson, Butch Goebel, Chris Donelson, Ethan Adamson, Dale Dean, and Rob Pollan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund at Immaculate Conception Church, 22 N. 13 St. Fort Smith, AR 72901.
