Cathy McElroy

Cathy Nell McElroy, age 65, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at a local hospital after fighting a life-long battle with Diabetes. She was born on May 10, 1956 in Fort Smith and graduated from Southside High School. She lived in Greenwood, Arkansas and was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Greenwood.

She enjoyed a career of serving others as a registered nurse at Sparks Hospital for 22 years, and previously owned Fort Smith Glass Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Margaret Ann Card, infant brother, Randall Card, grandparents, Loyd and Nellie Logue, and nephew, Mark Alan Goddard.

She is survived by her husband, Donald McElroy of Greenwood, step-son, Donald J. McElroy, and step-daughter, Martha White, both of Van Buren, two sisters, Debbie Atkinson (Mark), and Marta Love (Darryll), both of Fort Smith, niece, Melissa Morgan (Daniel), and nephew, Matt Goddard, both of Fort Smith.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery in Ozark, AR .
