Amanda and Jo, I am so sorry for your loss.  I will never forget how proud Jo was of her new grandson.  You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.


I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend time with Austin and his family as his teacher.  His loving family touched me so deeply.  I will always remember the way he reacted to his momma's voice when she walked into the room and the way he laughed at his favorite parts of Mickey Mouse cartoon shows.  I will miss him always!

I cannot think of Amanda, without also thinking of Austin snuggled up to her. I cannot think of one time when I saw her without him. 

His contagious smile—full of joy, full of innocence. Her beautiful, beloved son. And I never once heard her complain or sound exasperated with the challenges they faced together. I only ever saw her give, give, give, give, give. Strength renewed daily, never once considering any of it a chore, but a blessing. 

God certainly chose the perfect mom for Austin. And even now, I will never, never think of Amanda without thinking of her arms wrapped around her Bugs. His content face beaming in her embrace. He will always have that safe nest in the chimneys of her heart. 

There is no way to separate these two. 

Sweet boy, he was provided a sweet life by his momma, we'll miss him! 

My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Losing a child is one of the hardest things a parent/grandparent can ever go through. Just know that there are entire communities lifting you all up in prayer and God will see you through this. This  little guy has inspired many of us in his short 12 years on Earth. I know he is whole and resting with Jesus now and I pray that you each know that, as well. God Bless and keep each one of you in this painful time of your life.
