Arvel Gene Bolin

Arvel Gene Bolin, 72, of Fort Smith, died May 15, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was born February 6, 1939 in Fort Smith to J.W. and Winnie Mae Raulston Bolin. He was retired after 35 years service as Flight Chief Supervisor with the 188th Air National Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nanetta Sue Bolin of the Home; two daughters, Linda Burwell of Fort Smith and Sharon Lawson of Van Buren; three sisters, Mary Dyer of Fort Smith, Cynthia Phelan of Roland, OK., and Misty Bolin; one brother, Jimmy Bolin of Bokoshe, OK; three grandchildren, Casey Wood, Justin Hixson, and Kyle Lawson; three great grandchildren, Asher, Leila, and Sophia. He was preceded in death by one daughter Tina Lee Bolin; three brothers, Johnny, Nathan, and Billy Bolin; and one grandchild, Desiree Lawson

Graveside service will be Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Roselawn Cemetery with Military Honors, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Justin Hixson, Kyle Lawson, R.D. Casey, Jackie Smith, Dave Woodruff, Tyler Wood, and Doyle Dyer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Member of the 188th Air National Guard

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM.
