Angie Jones

Angie Jones, 62, of Fort Smith, died July 24 in Fort Smith. She was born April 22, 1951 in Bakersfield, CA. Angie was a member of First Baptist Church Lavaca and had retired as parts manager, of 31 years, from ACEC. Most importantly, she was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and nana. She is survived by her husband, companion and soul mate, Larry Jones Sr; her daughter, Brandi Jones Rauser and her husband Brandon of Fort Smith; her son Larry ‘Bubba’ Jones, Jr of Pocola; her mother, Bertha McGuire Douglas of Lavaca; one sister Louise Lovell and her husband Preston of Cedarville, AR; two brothers, William Pierce of Gila Bend, AZ and Roger Pierce and his wife Melody of Midland, AR; one granddaughter, Aleia JoAnn; twelve nieces and nephews, a lot of great nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended family and friends. Angie is preceded in death by her father, Willie Pierce; her step father, Edward Douglas; a step-sister, Edna Faye McKay and a step-brother, Donnie Douglas. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, July 30 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Johnston and Randy Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Measels Cemetery in Lavaca. Visitation will be Monday, July 29 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Edwards Funeral Home. The pallbearers will be Jimmie Don, Brice and Reese Jones, Chris Berry, Shayne Henry and Zachery Helms.
