Edward William Clarke

September 12, 1936 - November 1, 2022

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Edward William Clarke passed away with his family by his side on November 1, 2022 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis; his children Owen (Ruth), Curtis (Monique), Wayne (Carol), Brent (Sharon), and Lisa; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, sister Doris and many nephews and nieces. He will also be dearly missed by friends here in Alberta and northern Ontario. He was predeceased by his siblings Gordon (Mary), Ruth (Jack), Thelma (Evald), Jim (Marion), Stan, Don (Julie), brother-in-law Alec, and parents Wesley and Margaret (nee: Smith). Ed was born September 12, 1936 in Matheson, Ontario. He grew up on the family farm in northern Ontario and went on to work in construction and farming as well as serving as a Toronto Metropolitan Police Officer. He was a long-time member of the Gideons, and served on many community and church boards throughout his lifetime. The search for work brought Ed and family to Fort Saskatchewan, AB in 1980. His tremendous work ethic, principles, and faith in Christ were the foundation of his character.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8th at Wyecliff Bible Chapel, 22560 Wye Road, Sherwood Park, AB.
