It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend David Gilroy Weir of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, who passed away suddenly on December 4, 2024 at the age of 69 years.
Dave is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bea Weir; daughter, Valerie (Moe) Flink; grandsons, William Flink (Jade Johner) and Noah Flink; sister, Norma Weir (Larry Dawidowitz); nephew, Jeff Dawidowitz; and brother-in-law, John Bruce (Eva), as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Keith and Phyllis Weir.
Dave was born in Brockville, Ontario in 1955 and moved to Alberta in the late 70’s. He lived his life to the fullest, whether it be golfing, curling, hockey, wood working, or barbecuing. He really enjoyed watching his grandsons play hockey and lacrosse. We all will miss his witty nature, infectious laugh, and his wisdom.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
