He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Lorna; children Dayna (Darrell English) and Krista (Sean Thomas); grandchildren Lucas, Blake and Ryan English, Brooke and Mason Thomas; brother in law, Grant Campbell (Mariette) and family; sister in law, Margaret Hoskins and family; the families of his brothers, Birnie and Lorne; as well as cherished friends Roy and Carol Bibeau and families.
He was predeceased by his three brothers Birnie, Blaine and Lorne Hoskins and his parents William and Irene Hoskins.
Born in Dauphin, Manitoba, Brian moved to Thompson in 1969, where he met and married the love of his life Lorna in 1972. They relocated to Fort McMurray in 1977 where they raised their two daughters, who were his pride and joy. Brian and Lorna then chose to retire to Fort Saskatchewan where they have made numerous great friends.
Brian enjoyed golf, the Oilers, sports cars, camping with his family and his trips to Arizona in the winters. He also held a special place in his heart for his Manitoba cousins and of course we cannot forget his special bond with his best friend and companion, his dog Gibson.
Memorial donations may be made in Brian’s name to the Cross Cancer Institute, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute or the charity of your choice.
Our family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute and the Grey Nun’s Community Hospital CCU and Medicine units for their care and compassion.
