Donna Tressel

Donna was predeceased by her father Norman Tressel and step-father Lawrence Onrait.

She is survived by her mother Glenda Onrait (nee Woodard); sisters: Barb Tressel, Lori Bacon (Earl) and Allyson Onrait (Scott); brother Howie Tressel as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.

Donna was born on March 29, 1957 to Norman and Glenda Tressel. Following the passing of Norman in 1966, Donna was moved to Valley View Centre in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where she lived until the closing of the facility. Following Valley View, Donna spent some time in Esterhazy and Wolseley before finally returning home to Balcarres in 2019. It was here that family would be close to care for her and love her at the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre. Donna was loved immensely by all but was especially lucky to have her sister Lori close by to go above and beyond as well as always making sure her hair was done and dressing her up for holidays and events put on at the BICC. Donna’s room never missed a holiday and her festive clothes and fuzzy blankets were cherished. Before covid restrictions Donna’s boisterous laugh could be heard whenever Lori and her grandkids would come to visit.

Many special thanks to all that have cared for Donna throughout the years. She will be missed. The family wishes to send a very special thank you to the staff at the BICC for their tremendous care and love for Donna over the past few years. It was greatly appreciated.

Donna will be laid to rest at a later date beside her father in Balcarres.
