In loving memory of Sandra Pounsberry, whose adventurous spirit and dedication to the Lord's service, enriched the lives of all who knew her. Born on September 27, 1942, in Laurel Maryland. Sandy’s life was a testament to her courageous nature, from landing on an Alaskan glacier in a bush plane through mission trips in Honduras to raising three daughters.
As a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her stories of adventure instilled a “can do” spirit, sense of dedication to Christian values and loyalty in her family. Sandy's many career paths as a farmer, restaurant owner, bed and breakfast operator, caterer, purveyor of fine antiques, and deaconess, demonstrated her commitment to serving others, and making a positive difference in this world. This passion extended into her volunteer work feeding the homeless through Thurman Brisban and Michah Ministries, assisting in the food pantry and Respite House, or on a mission trip out west feeding members of the Navajo nation. Her legacy is one of courage, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to praising the Lord and spreading his message of love.
She is survived by her husband Ken, three daughters, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A celebration of Sandy’s amazingly impactful life will be held at 11AM on Saturday July 6th at Lighthouse Chapel in Port St. Lucie 6681 NW Selvitz Rd Port Saint Lucie, FL 34983
