Those who knew Jacob, even just a little lost a shining light in their lives.
Jacob was a loving son and best friend to his mother, Noelia Puente. He will be missed everyday by his little sister Penelope Love Ruiz; his grandparents, David and Rosa Puente; his Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and many, many great friends.
He was born in Lehigh Acres, Florida on August 16, 1999. He graduated from Riverdale High School. Jacob was also a part of the IB program at Riverdale. He worked very hard in his school work. He was a part of many things, including National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. He was in his third year at FGCU majoring in History and English Literature and working part time at Sherwin-Williams.
Jacob loved so many, and was loved by so many more. He had energy, that with even just one encounter with him, you would remember him for life. He was definitely living his best life! He loved unconditionally and his smile would light up any room. He truly was one of a kind, a special young man. He made everyone feel important and special, you instantly became a friend.
Jacob was very dedicated and committed to wrestling. He wrestled for Riverdale High School and FGCU. Jacob would volunteer in his community by helping Riverdale Wrestling team and Coach Hayward. He also had many other passions such as fishing, working out and reading just to name a few.
We are grateful and blessed for the 20 years of life we had with our GREAT JACOB! He is home in our heavenly father’s arms watching over us.
