Edward ,  a kind and generous man  left family and friends  his remarkable attributes as a legacy to continue.  We planned years together at our home overlooking the Caloosahatchee River. I am forever grateful for each we shared and treasure this photo  on our dock on our wedding day.  Loving thoughts this day. 

 I will never forget. We all love dad and will always cherish the memories you gave us.

My memories of Ed and his family are joyous.  Our parents got along well and there was always laughter when they were together.  We were lucky enough to spend time with them at Streeter's Hidden Valley Resort in Canada on the Lake of Ontario.  Ed always had a big smile on his face.  Hugs to Robin, Lizzie, and Chuckie. ♡

Edward was quite a gentleman and I enjoyed getting to know him as a friend of Lori’s. They clearly loved each other very much. He loved to talk about his life on Pine Island and his Ham Radio experience. I’m so very glad to have known him and was so sad to learn of his passing. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

This. Sound mind, sound body doing an everyday task. 

Back in the mid 60's I believe, when most people had black and white tvs, my Uncle Ed built a color set.  I understand there were kits.  One Sunday we went over and got to see for the first time "Disney's Wonderful World of Color", just to understand I had seen it many times but never in color.  That night when the opening comes and TinkerBell tapped her wand, wonderful splotches of color appeared on the screen.  I sat there in awe and wonderment.  I mean I thought Uncle Ed was a miracle worker and great inventor to make this amazing thing happen.  I have never forgotten that moment although now nearly 60 years ago.  It is still vivid in my mind and how much I admire him.  He has been a special part of my life since I was 3 mths old, when I went to live with my Mom back in her parents home with her siblings.  Her sister would later marry Ed making him my uncle.  They, both of them, have given me nothing but love and support.  I have missed her for many years and now will miss Ed too.  Nothing can ever take way those early memories of Ed and Dee and Robin and Liz and later Chuck and their home and that wonderful color TV.  Hugs to you Uncle Ed and please pass that on to those you are near to now.

Uncle Ed will be tremendously missed! I’ve been fortunate that uncle Ed has lived near me as I was growing up and into adulthood. He always welcomed me with his big smile and a warm hug. His love was extended to my children and even my grandchildren and they love him dearly and have enjoyed many Florida vacations with him!

I’ve have enjoyed many vacations down in Florida and we have gone hiking, boating, swamp cabbage festival, many trips to Walmart and every day life.

He will be truly missed.

Like so many others, I was immediately captivated by Edward’s wry wit and that sparkle in his eye.  His life was lived fully with layers of depth and that ingratiating sense of humor to include an impossibly  “ugly sweater” at a holiday party not too long ago!
Men of character like Edward are a blessing to meet, a treasure to have had as a friend, and a loving presence in the lives of his family.  He is and was an amazing man. 

My heart is filled with pain...and yet I know Edward was ready to go home and did so surrounded with love. I know too that in time that grief will be changed to sweet memories  of the many golden moments we have shared thru the years.  Edward will forever be in my heart...my friend, my partner, my husband.

Another way to this man's heart was thru chocolate!  Especially homemade anything as long as it was chocolate. :-) Recently I made a chocolate bundt cake,,,and his look of delight was so genuine, I had to take a photo. I will post it soon..look for that impish look of delight. 

Dear Lori and family;
I was saddened to learn of Ed's passing. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. 
As a member of the Fort Myers Amateur Radio Club,  he was always there to warmly greet the members  as they arrived for the monthly meetings.
Ed was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word and will be missed by all who knew him.
