Darlene Elizabeth Wheeler (Rabe) entered this world on October 19, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, and on October 28, 2023, she peacefully departed in Naples, Florida. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Howard Wheeler, marrying on February 10, 1951, and together they raised a loving family in Michigan before making a new home in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Her son, Kip Wheeler (Jeannie), her grandchildren—Grant Goulet (Melissa), Kendra McNabb (BJ), and Lindsey Chevrier (Pat)—were the light of her life, and her great-grandchildren—Emerson, Sullivan, Apollo, William, Grayson, Mason, and Harper—were her pride and joy, each a testament to her enduring love.
In addition to her immediate family, Darlene also leaves behind her half-brother, Mike Appino, and nephews, Paul and Mike, as well as a multitude of friends and extended family. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, wit, charm, and grace that touched the lives of many.
