Barbara Jean Martin

Barbara J. Martin was born on October 15, 1936 in Staten Island, New York. She lived in Fort Myers, Florida and passed away on August 4, 2018 at the age of 81. Mrs. Martin was a past leader & treasurer of TOPS FL250, a weight loss support group. She was a member of Olga Baptist Church and worked at Publix for many years in the Deli Department.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, George & Lena Shott; brothers, Ed & Bill Shott of VA; sister, Myrtle Clayton of Clearwater, FL; her first husband, Ray Finney of Fort Myers, Florida; and her Grandson, Daniel Monroe. She is survived by her husband, David Martin; children, Barbara Blackburn of Ft. Myers, FL., Ray Finney of Virginia Beach, VA., Lena Tipton of Ft. Myers, Fl., and Charles Finney of Ohio; Grandchildren, Jessica Finny, Joe Finny, Sam Tipton, Scott Monroe, and Matt Finny. She is also survived by several great grandkids and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 11th from 10:00- 12:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park. 12777 State Rd. 82 Fort Myers, FL. 33913 with Memorial Service to follow.
