Bill is survived by his loving wife, Chann; his children: Donna, Scott, Cathy, James, & Janice; his grandchildren: Jennifer, Carmen, Julio, Sophia, William Patrick, Brielle, Hannah, Kaitlyn, William, & Meghan; and his great-grandchildren: Santiago, Valentina, Vincente, Isidora, and Abigail.
Bill was a proud US Marine who served in the Korean War and later became an active member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a witty individual who loved the Steelers, BINGO, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He worked hard to provide for his family. After retirement, he enjoyed working in his garden and feeding the deer in the backyard. He lived a full life and followed his own wishes.
His children remember him for his sense of humor and for how much he loved to play cards. There was never a day that he was not able to put a smile on someone’s face. He always encouraged his family to be proud of their accomplishments, to be brave enough to make their own way in life, and to always stand tall regardless of the situation; live with honor, courage, and commitment.
A funeral is scheduled for Sunday November 1, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens South. The ceremony is only for immediate family. All are welcome to view and celebrate Bill’s life on the website.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org. The family would like to thank you for all of your prayers and support.
