Susan Carole Horowitz

Susan Horowitz was born in Bronx, New York, to Karl & Genevieve Treudler on November 20, 1945. She went to school at Mary Louis Academy in Jamica, NY. She married Mark Horowitz on September 25, 1977 in New York. She graduated from Stony Brook University with her bachelor’s in , followed by her masters of education from C.W. Post. She worked as a teacher for many years. She valued her family and friends above all. Her favorite job was Nana.

Susan Horowitz is preceded in death by Sandra Treudler (sister), Karl & Genevieve Treudler (parents), David Treudler (brother), Janice Gordin (sister), and Lorraine Martin (Sister).

Susan Horowitz is survived by Mark Horowitz (spouse), Heather & Scott Rosenfeld (daughter), Elizabeth & Daniel Korn (daughter), Jeanne Ficken (sister), Donald Treudler (brother), Zoe, Layla, Emily, & Daniel Korn (grandchildren), Eleanor, Gideon, & Penelope Rosenfeld (grandchildren).

Visitation will be 5:00-9:00pm, Monday & Tuesday evening, December 18 & 19, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 2401 SW 64th ave, Davie.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on December 20, 2023 at Saint David’s Catholic Church, 3900 South University Drive, Davie. Father Joseph will be officiating. Burial will follow at noon at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.

We will be sitting Shiva at 5:00pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El, 8200 Peters Road, Plantation.
