Shelly-Ann Simone Ritchie was born to proud parents on December 17, 1974. She was raised in Jamaica, West Indies for approximately the first decade of her life and later migrated to the United States of America. She spent a short while in Houston, TX. prior to moving to South Florida where she resided for the final years of her life. She attended both Miramar and Plantation High School as well as Florida Atlantic University and Nova Southeastern University. Shelly-Ann pursued industries associated with healthcare, business, marketing, and sales. She eventually became an entrepreneur and principal of Paramount Placement Group.
Shelly-Ann's greatest gift and prized possession was her son Daylan. She delighted in answering the call to motherhood. She made education, healthy relationships, and a quality lifestyle her priorities. She was passionate about giving her time and resources to numerous charity organizations. Her friendships had longevity due to her goodness, selflessness, and loyalty. Her presence brought life to the environment in which she entered and inhabited. Never would she have it any other way.
Shelly-Ann was also very ambitious. She was a goal oriented person without measure. She possessed great artistic ability and had a keen sense of style. Her personality, "taste," and approach to people and things were indeed unique to her. She sought to accommodate without compromising her own values and standards. She will be tremendously missed by many, including her father Winston Ritchie, mother Winsome Ritchie, brother Kevin Ritchie, sister Peta-Gaye Ritchie, nephew Kevin Ritchie, Jr. and beloved son Daylan Holness, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, god-children, friends, acquaintances and associates of whom she was survived
