A special thanks to all those who called, did video chat, sent cards, and especially prayed, those who sent messages almost every day of encouragement for all of us here. Roy enjoyed the pictures, the videos, and facebook notes so much. Thank you for doing that while he was able to enjoy hearing from everyone. He enjoyed the hymns Melinda had playing for him all the time and singing to him. The last few days were painful, but he is in a better place now. We will see him on the other side.
"Don't be troubled. Believe in God, and believe in me. My Father's house has many rooms. If that were not true, would I have told you that I'm going to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am." John 14:1-3
Roy Marshburn's wish was to be cremated and his headstone be placed in the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia in the family plot.
