On October 26, 1972, a shining star was born to Jean Victuel Souffrant and Marie Tranquillia Abelard. This shining star was Maryse Souffrant. Maryse was born in Croix des bouquets and was raised Savanne Blonde, Haiti. As a young child, she migrated to the United States, received her High School Diploma from Miami Edison High School. Later, graduated with an Associate Degree in Travel and Tourism from Miami Dade College.
As a hard worker all of her life, Maryse had committed herself to Publix Super Markets, one of the largest and successful supermarket in the United States for twelve years.
On February 14, 2001, in Miami Gardens, Maryse had joined in union with Christ with her lifetime partner Andre Boisson Jr. On August 10, 2001 the couple was blessed with their first daughter Jordan and two years later came their second daughter Brigitte on August 22, 2003.
As a member of the Trinity Church, Maryse lived a very distinguished life. She believed enormously in Education. She was a homemaker, and a talented cook. She loved decorating, enjoyed Photography and worked out religiously. She enjoyed caring for her home and her family. Maryse treasured very much the time spent with her daughters Jordan & Brigitte.
Maryse was caring, and kind-hearted. When a family member or a friend was in need once approached, Maryse would always do her best until everything was taken care of, or the burden was eased. She adored children and enjoyed babysitting, and took great pleasure in helping everyone around her. Being around Maryse meant feeling safe and comfortable. She was very genuine, kind, quiet, respectful, talented, very determined, responsible and considerate individual, and in love with life. She maintained her trademark sweetness all the way to the end.
Unfortunately, since last July, Maryse had been in a terrible battle with Gastric cancer. The most significant inspiration for her fight with that illness was her two children and her trust in God. Maryse had been in and out of The Hospital for treatment over the last couple of months, religiously accompanied by her loyal husband/caregiver, Andre Jr. She was 37 years old. We were all very enriched by her presence in our lives.
Maryse Boisson died on October 24, 2010, at 12: 01 AM in her home surrounded by her family.

She taught us to be strong no matter what comes our way and to always appreciate the little things in life. We will always remember how faithful she remained to the Lord during her suffering days. she gave us encouragements while she was weak so that we can be strong and that was her way of preparing us for this day. As we lay her body to rest today, her spirit will always be with us and we will always remember "Thanksgiving"
