Julia Cabrera

Julia Cabrera, 82 years of age, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Hollywood, Florida. Julia Cabrera was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic to Ines and Fabio Santana on June 3, 1940. She married her husband Orlando Cabrera on April 10, 1965 in Manhattan, New York. She worked at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood for 17 years in Environmental Services.

Julia, though a simple woman in many ways loved her family deeply. After coming to the United States in her early twenties, she worked diligently to help each one of her siblings as well as her parents come to the United States to benefit from the opportunities she had come to find. A huge part of Julia’s life that formed and fueled every area of her life was her Christian faith. Julia found great joy in serving others and sharing as much of her life and resources with those God crossed her path with. Julia’s life, love and example was certainly felt by the many who knew her and loved her.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 beginning with visitation at 10:00 a.m., followed immediately by a service at 11:00 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Jose Miguel Alvares and Samuel Cabrera will serve as officiants. Burial will follow at same location.
