John Robert (Bob) Dorris, 87, passed away on September 6, 2023 at home. He was born in Springfield, TN to Taylor & Mary Dorris and grew up in Greeneville, TN. He served 4 years in the
US Marine Corps which took him overseas and eventually to Florida. Then one day he went to the beach and met the love of his life and decided to make Florida his permanent home. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Dorris, of more than 63 years. He is also survived by his children, Kim Nicholas and her wife, Pippa, and Robert (Bob) Dorris and his wife, Mindy, and grandchildren, Rhea and her husband, Dom, & Lainey along with his great grandchildren, Tori, Hannah and Haley and his great-great grandson, Jackson. He is also survived by his sisters, Billie Jean, Margaret & Linda. His granddaughter, Kathy, predeceased him along with sisters Peggy & Donna. He had a long & full life and we will miss him and keep him in our hearts always.
