Joanne was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Broward when she was 10 years old. A 1988 graduate of Western High School, she studied Public Relations and Graphic Design at Broward College. Joanne worked alongside her husband as the Vice President of his media company, i DREAM Productions, Inc. As a baptized follower of Christ, she was also on staff and served at Community Christian Church in Tamarac.
Joanne loved the Lord and having fellowship with others. She was involved in baptisms, leading bible studies, various ministries and adding her special touch to church events. Next to being a mom, Joanne’s greatest passion was Women’s Ministry. She believed that men are the head of the household and should be the spiritual leaders, but women are the heart of the church. She always said, “If the women come to church, the children and husbands will follow.” Covered by Grace is a Facebook group for women that Joanne created in 2020 which has grown to over 700 members. Much appreciation for her friend and assistant, Marlena who has been led to carry on her legacy as the primary moderator for this online community.
Joanne was a devoted wife and mother, a wonderful daughter and sister, a caring niece and cousin as well as a very loving aunt. She loved her family and friends whole heartedly with her cooking, baking and thoughtful gifts. Joanne was an entrepreneur and also dedicated her time as a Girl Scout Leader several years for her daughter’s troop. In her spare time, Joanne enjoyed music and crafts as well as writing blogs, stories and plays.
Being creative and detail-oriented allowed Joanne to be an exceptional event planner. She was not only the best hostess of her own tea parties, ladies nights, birthday celebrations and holiday gatherings, but also very generous with contributing her ideas and time to help others. This incredible and talented lady will be remembered for decorating her home every season, making it so warm and inviting. She will be greatly missed for her bright smile, sense of humor and kind heart for many years to come.
Joanne loved Disney and is survived by her real-life prince and beloved husband Vincent Cuchel of 25 years along with their beautiful daughter Lexi (Alysabeth); Her loving mother Mickey (Elizabeth) LaSorella; and her in-laws Salvatore and Margaret Cuchel. Joanne adored her four nieces; Alison, Courtney, Ella and Gianna. Her extended family consists of brother in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of great friends who admired her attributes. Joanne was predeceased by her father, James LaSorella on April 27, 2020. We are at peace knowing her beautiful soul is in the presence of our Savior.

In Jacob’s Shoes is a 501c3 public charity that was formed in loving memory of Jacob S. Zweig. It provides shoes, backpacks, school supplies and athletic gear to South Florida children in need. Joanne was an active volunteer supporting this organization so these children would have the opportunity to walk with pride and go to school prepared and with dignity.
Oasis of Hope, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit that is a Christian company based in South Carolina that supports children in crisis by placing them in their licensed foster homes to be loved on and ministered to. Joanne was a tremendous supporter of Oasis; she knew the opportunity Oasis would have to minister to the biological family, as well as to the child during the crisis of foster care. Oasis of Hope is honored to be the beneficiary of Joanne’s memorial donations and will ensure the funds are used to protect the children in the foster care system.
