Ed was an amazing individual who loved life. He grew up in Rockland, Massachusetts. His parents Glen and Muriel Osborne taught him how to be loving and caring to others, as well as to have a good work ethic. Eddie involved himself with many business opportunities. He was a real estate developer and built condominiums in Boston. He had an eclectic business portfolio which included a shrimp farm in Ecuador. For many years he focused his business in Boston until he decided to switch his interests to a little town in Naples Maine. He started a couple of restaurants and owned various shops and even a few franchises. He retired after 35 years of owning Rick’s Café in Naples, Maine.
Everyone knew Ricks Café and Eddie. Since Ricks Café was a summer business he lived in Florida in the winter where he worked in the Commercial industry. He was so personable and easy to talk to. He was very intelligent and knew about various topics. He was president of the association where he lived for 16 years and was still volunteering even after he retired from the board.
Everyone knew they could approach and ask him anything. He would go out of his way to help people. He mentored many people and encouraged them to shoot for the moon while attempting to start their businesses. He was a cheerleader and confidant for many people.
But most importantly he was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and husband. He would do anything for his family.
There will be a service at the Methodist Church on 503 South Ave, in Whitman on January 21st at 12:30 for all to come and celebrate Edward Osbornes Life.
