Debra Denise Brown

Debra Denise Brown, 59, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida entered into rest on February 1st, 2020. Debra is survived by her sons, Jimmaiya and Jimmaiyne Brown, daughter-in-law Latoya Brown and her granddaughter Journi Marie Brown. She leaves behind her brothers Elbert Fleming, Eddie Charles Fleming, Terry Fleming and sisters Sara Boyd, Angela Franklin, Beverly Franklin, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Debra was born on November 24th, 1960 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was in the 1978 graduating class of Dillard High School. Debra enlisted in the United States Army in 1978 and served as a Materiel Control and Accounting Specialist. She is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. After a successful enlisted in the military, she transitioned to the private sector to continue her career in acquisitions until her retirement. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Maryland - University College in 2017. Debra had many personal interests which included music and movies (she had a massive collection), shopping and spending time with family. It is recommended to schedule them for a 3 pm delivery on Monday, Feb 10th. There will be a Visitation on Monday, February 10th from 5 pm to 7:30 pm ( funeral service starting at 6 pm) at Broward Burial and Cremation, 1801 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306. The following day she will be laid to rest at South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
