Corinne was born on March 20, 1946 in Point Pleasant, NJ, the daughter of August W. Hillman, Sr. and Florence C. Sauter Hillman, and raised in Red Bank, NJ where she attended St. James Grammar School and graduated from Red Bank High School in 1965.
Corinne was a kind, caring and gentle soul who cared deeply for everyone in her life. She was an animal lover of all kinds, but especially loved her four Yorkshire Terriers – Shanti, Jersey, Brandy, and Marnie. Corinne was passionate about real estate and spent almost 40 years as an agent selling properties in the greater Fort Lauderdale area working with first Coldwell Banker and RE/MAX, and most recently Lauderdale Beach Properties.
Corinne was a fighter and battled her way back to health many times with the help of her oncologist Dr. David Scott Lessen and his wonderful staff from the University of Miami Health System, and she was able to flourish for many extra years. She was a pure, vibrant force who had a positive impact on the people she held close to her. She will be greatly missed.
Corinne was a loving spouse, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She is survived by her husband Robert T. Humphries, her loving and devoted son Christian Humphries, her brother August W. Hillman, Jr and his wife Rosemary Hillman, her nephew Christopher A. Hillman and his wife Danielle Hillman, and her nephew Patrick P. Hillman.
Corinne’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes will be interred with her parents at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middletown, NJ, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal rescue shelter or organization.
