She will hear..... Well done thou good and faithful servant.... A great educator , a spiritual motivator , never giving up on her faith, who influenced the lives of many great persons. Family, you must be sooo proud of the life she led.  I know we all miss her, continue to keep the faith and we shall one day see her again in Glory. May she rest in peace.



I am forever grateful  for all your support and kind words especially during our 'Teaching Practice' You help to mould us to the young ladies we are today.  1987  was special, as my dream to become a teacher was realised. You never cease to in still in us that character is everything.  I will forever cherish the memories I have while at  St Joseph Teachers College and your guidance sessions. 

I was a very inexperienced teenager when I started St. Joseph's Teacher's College! It was Mrs. Millwood, during guidance sessions, that helped me become more self-aware! She was very caring and knowledgeable, and gave me tools which I'm still using today! Thanks and sleep well!🌹

I was saddened to hear of the news of Mrs. Millwoods passing. I was in the class with her daughter Karen.  I have very fond memories of Mrs. Millwood in High School. She was a very loving, caring and nurturing individual.  She was one of my favorite teachers in my lifetime.  My condolences to Karen and the entire Millwood family. She will be greatly missed. May her soul rest in peace...

Mrs Ariel Millwood was the perfect example of a Minister’s wife and Danny and I will never forget the wisdom, love and example she displayed in our early years as young Baptist pastor and wife.  Her life as a believer and follower of Christ stands as a pattern for all of us to follow.   May her soul Rest In Peace and one day in that blessed land May God grant a good “JBU reunion”.   What a hallelujah time that will be!  Sleep on beloved. 

It is with deep sadness and yet joy that I recall with fond memories Aunty Ariel. I am saddened that I am unable to attend the service and saddened that I will be unable to see her again in the flesh. However I am full of joy that I was privileged to spend Sumner holidays at the family home. I was always treated by Aunty as one of the family although I was related to her by marriage. Her warm and caring personality ingratiated me to her. I will always remember her as a wonderful woman of God and pray that her soul will rest in peace . Prayers from me and Maureen, Vayshawn and JT to Eleanor, Denise, Karen, Michelle and Michael and the other members of the family. May God's strength be yours now and always

Mrs. Millwood was one of my lecturer at St. Joseph’s Teachers ‘ College in Jamaica in the eighties. She was a very motherly, caring, and understanding person, to say the least she was a humanitarian.  She could be singled out as a person who was guided by her Christian principles which gained her the  trust, love and respect of her students. 
I must express my profound  sympathy and condolences to her family at this time and reassure them that they were blessed to be touched by such a beautiful person. 
Sleep in peace Mrs. Millwood and may light perpetual continue to shine on you.

Mrs. Millwood was a caring, sweet, pleasant, and genuine person who always goes the extra mile to help, comfort or guide someone. She was my guidance councilor at St Joseph's Teachers' College in Kingston, Jamaica from 1982 to 1986. This angel did what came to be one of the best things in my life. She advised me on how to resolve my issues with my daughter's father, who deserted us. I thank God that I met and spent time with her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

We thank God for the ministry of this servant of God whose gracious presence was not a complement of her husband's call but integral to it. 

Coming from the family and church in rural Jamaica, which was the foundation of her witness and upon which her legacy stands, her ministry in Jamaica through the JBWF and in the USA in Florida remind us just how much we need to give thanks to God for His goodness and love shared through this servant, Ariel. 

May she rest in peace and may the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with the extended family and the churches she served.

Mrs Millwood was my Guidance Counsellor at St Joseph's Teachers College she was very caring and her counselling sessions was something that we did not miss . On more than one occasion i was counseled by her and learnt how to counsel many children. On behalf of the class of 1986 and the McFarlane family my sincere condolences to the Millwood  family. She has gone to be with her saviour and is now smiling with Mr Millwood in paradise.

My sincere condolences to the Millwood family on the passing of the family matriarch. Affectionately know as mommy to all the young adults at Phillipo Baptist Church, Mrs. Millwood embodied all the qualities one could ask for in a mother.  Mrs. Millwood was a loving, passionate, caring and kind person. She had a very charming and inviting personality and a smile that warmed the heart. She was an excellent Sunday School teacher who made sure we understood the morning’s lesson before she would let us go. I will never forget the Sunday morning when she taught us about prayer.  She taught us that there are three answers to our prayers, yes, no or wait,  This simple but profound statement had guided me for over 30 years.

May your soul find eternal rest because you have worked for the master.  Elenor, Karen, Camille, Michelle and Michael, your mom was an inspiration to many so as you go through this very difficult time, hold your mom’s memory close to your hearts because she will never be forgotten.

Eleanor and family,  it was my very fortunate privilege to have met and known Ariel, even for a short time.  She was a sweet, generous woman who will always have a place of fond memories in my heart.  My most sincere condolences to you all.

Mrs. Millwood was the most loving and caring person I know. We literally grew up in the church at Phillipo Baptist Church in Spanish Town. And as our 'other' mom at church, she helped to raise us, guide u, counsel us, . . .. I am forever grateful for the impact she has had on my life. My name is Jennifer Brown. I attended Meadowbrook 1968 and from day one Mrs. Millwood  helped me through all my problems i loved her so much. All have been said by others  in this tribute . Rest in peace my beautiful loving dedicated teacher. 

I was filled with sadness when I learnt of the passing of my dear friend Ariel.  There are some people whose lives intersect with yours and which have a lasting and indelible positive impact.  So it was with Ariel in my life. 
My memories of the time when we worked together in the 1960s and 1970s) include: 
•	The collegiality of the staff room at Meadowbrook High School with people like Flavia Peterkin, Carlotta McLennon, Joyce Gooden, Phyllis Headlam, Verna Johnson, Lloyd Chin and so many others……AND of course Mr. Warren Thorpe!!!!  
•	The preparation of Sunday School Examination papers for the annual Jamaica Baptist Union Examinations……
It was truly a wonderful privilege for me to work with Ariel Millwood, someone so very dedicated and creative.  I recall the very strong role model she was for the girls (and boys) of Meadowbrook High School, the way she mothered, nurtured and guided them, and worked to understand and do what was best for them.  She was the ideal choice for Guidance Counsellor, the first so appointed by the school.  Unfortunately, that new role took her away from the classroom where she excelled as a teacher of mathematics, as many of her students will testify. 
Most of all though I recall Ariel as mother – the love, the care and the ambition she always demonstrated to and for her precious children, and the resilience she displayed, and the strong bulwark she provided for them, especially after losing her beloved husband, Rev Denis Millwood, when she herself was breaking apart with her loss.  
Even after Ariel left Meadowbrook, I continued to be inspired by her fortitude and faith through joys, sorrows, disappointments, challenges and problems; and through it all, her love, loyalty and caring.
We communicated at Christmas time and usually updated each other on our children’s and our lives.  She remained a true friend – caring, compassionate, loving; 
May her soul Rest in Peace

My sincere condolence to Mrs Millwood’s family. I and my late brother are products of her skill and dedication as a guidance councilor and math teacher. I however do not mourn her as one without hope. I am grateful for her long and productive life and am confident that she is in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ariel was my Sunday School teacher, a keen listener , a mother,  church family and family friend.May her soul RIP and the light of God shine on her soul.

Mrs Millwood  impacted so many lives during the years she taught at Meadowbrook High School. She was an amazing teacher. May she RIP.

Deeply moved to hear of the passing of  Mrs Millwood my favourite  teacher who contributed significantly in moulding me with Gods LOVE to be  the rounded  person  and everything I am today 

Like many I thank God for her and the contribution she made to our lives.

Memories of her are memories of  pure LOVE of God  from her very  heart . She taught  and counselled  me and others   with  this LOVE.  

Her presence to me brought with it God's presence of LOVE. 

I remember after receiving guidance in counselling with LOVE  from her  then thinking to myself  later back then that this must be what God is or  what God is like. This is my earliest and  my fondest memory  of Mrs Millwood.  The LOVE of God that she extended to us all at Meadowbrook High  that still lives on in my  heart, and I am sure in the heart of others, I will always remember!

I will never forget Mrs Millwood for this!  Her life  that she  shared with  the LOVE  of God  in her heart certainly  contributed sinificantly  in  moulding and changing my own life and heart as it pointed me  to  receive the LOVE  of  God  in my own heart  while I attended Meadowbrook High as I am sure it did to the lives of  many that crossed her path.

Condolences again to all the family of Mrs Millwood. May we  all now  take comfort in God's LOVE . The very LOVE that she shared with us all straight  from her heart  to ours.  We never had to go to her  to receive this LOVE - she always  came to us to share this LOVE!
May we all take comfort knowing that she is now resting in this LOVE, the LOVE of God....Amen
 

Mrs. Millwood was my math teacher when I attended Meadowbrook High School. She was an awesome teacher and was my favorite. She genuinely cared for her students and believed in us. Mrs. Millwood was my mentor and positively impacted my life.

I am very sorry for your loss.  I attended The Queens High School with Mrs. Ariel Millwood's daughter, Camille, but lost touch after emigrating to the US in 1978.  Camille's musical and intellectual acumen, even at such a young age, were a testament to strong familial role models and and upbringing.

Mrs. Millwood, my Maths teacher from 1st - 3rd forms at Meadowbrook High School in Kingston. She made learning Maths so easy...really appreciated her efforts as a caring & patient teacher. You were one of my favorite teachers..a really special person! May her soul rest in sweet peace...

This is Allan Lewis a former student of Meadowbrook high, I went to Meadowbrook from 1968-1972. Mrs Millwood was my  math teacher. She was my best teacher, she was very motherly and understanding. If our class had any concerns , she would take the time to council us and not teach that session. I had always wondered where Mrs Millwood was, or if she had passed on. Only to be hit with this sad news. I am a radio broadcaster by profession and when in Jamaica on teacher's day I always say that Mrs Millwood was my best teacher. Mrs Millwood u played a great innings, God has now called u home. R.I.P
