Mark was born December 24, 1965 along with his brother Guy with whom he had the special bond that twins share. Mark attended Burriss and Cornerbrook public schools and graduated from Fort Frances High School in 1984. He attended Carleton University in Ottawa in 1985/86. As a teenager Mark worked at Ross’s Camp and after returning from University worked at various jobs locally.
As a young boy Mark enjoyed the outdoors and throughout his adult life loved fishing and camping. He loved music, played guitar and had a wonderful singing voice. He also had a wonderful sense of humour. Mark’s greatest attribute was his kindness and caring and this was displayed throughout his entire life by helping others whenever and however he could. He had a wide circle of friends and kept in touch with email and Facebook. We all enjoyed his amusing observations and postings. Throughout his adult life Mark had many struggles but he never gave up and always lived life to the fullest.
Family was so important to Mark and he always enjoyed getting together with family whether one on one as as a large group. Mark was predeceased by his father Gale Donaldson on July 9, 2009 and infant niece Sarah Mosbeck. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Donaldson, sister Emily Mosbeck (Tom Mosbeck) brothers Ross (Denise), Lee (Leanne), Jerry (Nancy), Guy (Kelly Spicer), Brian, and RobRoy (Heather Campbell). He is also survived by his 15 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews for each of whom had a special place in Mark’s heart. He is also remembered by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday December 2, 2010 at 2 PM at Green Funeral Home with Rev. Frances Flook officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark’s brother in law Tom Mosbeck and sisters in law, Denise Donaldson, Leanne Donaldson, Nancy Donaldson, Kelly Spicer, and Heather Campbell, all of whom Mark loved dearly.
